A LITTLE HELP GETTING STARTED

One task.
Your first small plan.

You do not need to organize your whole life before you begin.

01 · Open your own planner

Choose Start planning for free to open the real Harbor application. This website’s interactive example is only a demonstration: its tasks and changes are not saved or transferred.

You can begin with a local workspace without creating an account. Local work belongs to the browser profile and device where you create it.

02 · Capture one next step

Use the planner’s task-creation control to enter one thing you can act on. “Outline three options” is easier to start than “Finish the entire proposal.” Create the task and confirm it appears in the intended workspace and list.

When the interface reports an error, keep the task text available and follow its recovery guidance. Do not assume work was saved merely because a button was pressed.

03 · Choose what belongs today

Keep the task in your inbox when you are not ready to plan it. For an active, untimed task, use Plan for today in its planning controls. This selects a planned day without changing the deadline. Timed tasks use Calendar for placement. A due date is a deadline—not just a way to make something appear on today’s list.

Review the resulting date and list. Choosing a day is not the same as choosing a time, and the local calendar does not import outside commitments or automatically schedule your work.

04 · Make a useful beginning

Start that task, or add the next thing you genuinely need to remember. You can explore routines, repeating tasks, and focus sessions later. You do not need to configure every tool before the planner becomes useful.

05 · Keep a way back

Return with the same browser profile and device to use that local workspace. Export a backup before a large cleanup, clearing browser data, or moving devices.

Follow the backup guide. Understand local and account workspaces.

A small start is enough.

Open Harbor for your own plan. Tasks from the example are not transferred.
